Photographs mimic memory.  They are narrative and tell a story.

The imagery on this site portrays a string of still lifes: paintings of specificity
that nudge one to look closer at elements in a new light.  Large and small
scenes are captured, obvious and subtle viewpoints, articulating patterns,
textures, tones, and light.  The intent is to give evidence of things unseen
and a voice to the stillness.

For me, photographs speak loudly about silent struggles: the need for comfort
and beauty in the face of abandonment, loss, pain, obscurity.  I explore random
details that are seemingly so common they could be taken for granted, ignored,
discarded.  I’m driven to shape the invisible, isolate the quiet, create a tranquil
balance, and draw out what’s hidden to a conscious, compelling portrait.
